Public Holidays

The surgery will be closed for the upcoming Public Holidays.  These are;

Thursday 25th December - CLOSED

Friday 26th December - see 'Winter Opening' - EMERGENCIES ONLY.

Thursday 1st January - CLOSED

Immediate action required: Winter Opening

To help ease general NHS pressures, the Practice will be open on certain days over the Public Holidays in December and some Saturdays in January.

Friday 26th December 2025 - 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday 27th December 2025 - 8.30am-4.30pm

Friday 2nd January 2026 - 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday 3rd January 2026 - 8.30am-4.30pm

This will be FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY.

NO PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OR ROUTINE QUERIES WILL BE DEALT WITH.

If you require medical attention during these periods, please contact the surgery via the usual phone number. 

Extended Hours/Practice Morning between 8am and 8.30am

Between 08:00 and 08:30 is for emergencies only.

Extended Hours

Extended hours are available which consists of early morning or late evening appointments with the GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Practice Nurse.

Please contact the practice for current avaliabilty. Extended hours appointments times vary and are avaliable up to 6 weeks in advance.

 

When We Are Closed

Medical care out-with our normal opening hours hours is provided by NHS24.

Please call 111

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
